Join poet James B. Moore for the limited edition hardcover release of "Open Heart Chronicles", his second poetry collection, forthcoming from Chatwin Books.

"Open Heart Chronicles" features narrative poems that journey from the author’s childhood throughout his life and into the present day. With transformative and soul-searching vulnerability, Moore reveals the arc of his lived experiences and his gradual shift through stages of maturity.

Throughout the collection, Moore’s poetry always returns to matters of the heart. Some poems meditate on the loving, supportive partnership Moore has built with his wife, Esther. Others explore Moore’s gradual realization that life contains moments and experiences which transcend the physical. Finally, in a literal interpretation of the title, Moore writes about his experiences with life-threatening cardiac illness. Medical professionals find his descriptions of the power of the healing arts particularly meaningful.

"Open Heart Chronicles" follows Moore’s poetry collection "Spirit Unchained" (Chatwin Books, 2015). Moore has been a musician, merchant marine seaman, high school English teacher, and counselor. Currently, he divides his time between psychotherapy and writing. He lives in Seattle with his wife, Esther Andrews-Moore.
