Text in French. Later issue ('Troisieme Edition'; title page recto) of the biographical study of the devoted early North African early Christian saint (fl. 4th century CE), most famous as the mother of Augustine (later Bishop of Hippo and a saint in his own right). With the Abbe's preface to the second edition (dated July 29, 1866), plus supplementary notes (with bibliographical references) and a table of contents at rear. See BMC, volume 3, page 1068, column 578 (citing the original 1866 edition).
