With Addison's own 4 1/2 page preface ('To the Right Honourable James Craggs, Esq'; volume 1); preface and dedicatory poem by Thomas Tickell (volume 1); tables of contents (volume 1, at rear of volume 1; volumes 2 & 3, at rear of volume 2).
