I absolutely agree that intimate poems are no good for choral speaking; but all personal poems are not intimate ...' Slight horizontal creases to few midsections; slight browning to edges; else a collection of very well-preserved specimens. Day-Lewis (1904-1972), Irish-born English poet; also author of detective fiction using the pseudonym 'Nicholas Blake'; created C.B.E. in 1950; Professor of Poetry at Oxford (1951-56); Poet Laureate (1968).
