Spine title: Spiers & Surenne's French Pronouncing Dictionary. Later issue of the American edition, 'carefully revised, corrected, and enlarged' (title page), with a preface, by G. P. Quackenbos; also includes the 'Preface to the Paris Edition' (uncredited). Copyright date of 1852 on title page verso. Bound in half dark brown morocco over brown pebbled cloth, gilt-stamped spine with raised bands, plain endpapers, edges stained brown. Still a nice, tight copy internally.
