First Edition, published a month after Lincoln's funeral. 4.75 x 6.5 in. 186pp., plus 4 pages of ads at the back. Original maroon cloth overed beveled boards, with gilt tiles on spine, and Lincoln’s signature on the front. Top edges gilt, and coated endpapers. Fraying to the spine tips, corners worn and rubbed, some spotting to the cloth; previous owner’s gift inscription (dated 1909) internally a few places have some soiling. Overall a Very Good copy.
