ISBN: 0801513103

A SUPERB PRESENTATION COPY, signed and inscribed on half title by author to his son (and family) with two original drawings: 'For Harry, Di, Stacey - Greg: A City where so many of us were born Stephen...' With an original ink drawing of a strolling couple in evening attire (the man in a top hat). Also signed and with a second drawing on title page of a bottle, glass, and smoking cigar in an ashtray. Simply the finest copy imaginable. A very good copy of the first edition hardcover in jacket (jacket spine a trifle faded; some foxing to edges and text). Longstreet (1907-2002), born Chauncey (later Henri) Weiner (sometimes Wiener), known as Stephen Longstreet from 1939. A noted author (under numerous names!), screen and television writer, and a successful artist, he wrote as Paul Haggard, David Ormsbee and Thomas Burton, Stephen Longstreet, the celebrated hoax Madam Nell Kimball, and his birth name (with both spellings).
