Ancient Pilot
Spankstra Press, 2003. First Edition. Hardcover. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" Tall (oblong ). Fine / No Jacket. Item #005507850
One of only 13 copies of this rare limited edition; this being #12. 8.75 x 6 inches. The text is entirely hand-typed - not reproduced from typed text, but actually hand-typed - by the publisher on a 1937 Corona typewriter. The book, 'printed' on vari-colored paper, reads right to left, and is hand-bound in unusual hand-marbled balsa-wood boards (which appear hand-painted). The front cover is also printed letterpress (on the wooden boards). Harvey Goldner was one of Seattle's favorite poets. For booklovers, we will note that this book has what we think is the greatest colophon ever written. A Fine copy.
