An unusual Association Copy of a fairly scarce illustrated work. This copy is a personal presentation copy to Muhammad Ali himself, signed and inscribed in silver ink (in English) by Helnwein on half-title page, and with the dedication page encircled and further inscribed (with English translation) by Helnwein. Contains 13 short stories in all (including 'The Fall of the House of Usher', 'The Cask of Amontillado', 'The Pit and the Pendulum', etc) in German translations by A. von Bosse and 3 others. A Folio. 163pp., bound in full black cloth. Notable particularly for the over 100 b/w illustrations. A Near Fine copy with slight creasing to the ffep and half-title pages. The dust jacket has light creasing and wear, else Very Good. Brodarted.
