Louis Weitzenkorn' (presumably an allusion to a line in the play). This play was the basis for TWO Hollywood films, the first starring Edward G. Robinson, the latter Humphrey Bogart. The narrative is an expose of yellow journalism, and is based on the author's experiences as a staff-writer for the New York 'World'. Original dark purple cloth stamped in white (fading and wear to spine and edges; spine lettering flaked, fraying to top of spine).
