Date is conjectural (none of the volumes is dated). Notable for the frontispiece illustrations by H.K. Browne and John Gilbert (lacking only the frontispiece to 'Last Days'). 3 volumes total; bound in 3/4 tan polished calf over maroon cockerell boards, gilt-stamped and decorated spines with raised bands, gilt-stamped black and dark brown morocco spine labels, matching maroon edges and endpapers. Slight wear and rubbing to extremities; slight rubbing to covers; previous owner's engraved armorial bookplate on front attached endpaper of all volumes; slight internal browning and/or foxing throughout.Few Engraved Illustrations (advertising matter).
