Bound in 3/4 late 19th centu ry dark red morocco over matching marbled boards, gilt-stamped spine with r aised bands, matching marbled endpapers and edges. Exterior as noted (spine faded to brown; edges slightly rubbed); slight internal browning, previous owner's ink signature on first preliminary leaf, else a very serviceable c opy.
