An important topographical and historical work about Lübeck, with beautiful copper of the Trave, the Krähenteich, the Holstein and Wipperbrücke, the market place as well as several views of Lübeck, two of Travemünde and Berieben. Bound in full contemporary brown calf, gilt stamped spine, covers ruled in blind, plain endpapers, edges stained light green. Rubbing to the calf along the edges and to the gilt spine; a thumb sized gouge to the rear cover, slight stains to endpapers, some internal browning and/or scattered foxing; previous owner's pencil signature on front free endpaper. Overall a nice copy.
