The inscription reads: '7-13-00 To Ward, From an admirer of your inspirational work. Here is inspiration for adventure of another sort. Best wishes from Mell and myself. Pete Schoening.' NOT signed by author. A very good copy of the first UK edition in jacket (jacket has nicks, creases and tears to edges with some foxing to rear panel; book has one page with a crease and marginal flaw).
