First American Edition, stated First Printing. An ex-library copy, with all that entails, including but not limited to library stamps, stickers, and notations. A Fair copy in a Good dustjacket. DJ has edgewear, shelfwear, fold lines, toning, various nicks, a small chunk missing from the back cover near the bottom of the spine, and stains from glue on both front & rear flaps. Book (dark blue cloth with a gilded titles & a gold & light blue cover design) has edgewear, bumped corners, a cocked spine, toning to pages, a library ink stamp on the bottom of the text block, scotch tape stains on front & back endpaper as well as 2nd blank page & 'About the Author' page at the end, and a library pocket still in place on front endpaper. Not terrible for an ex-library copy, particularly the dust jacket.
