Original cream cloth over gray boards, paper label (minor wear). PROVENANCE: From the library of long-time Sierra Club stalwart Harriet T. Parsons, with her signature on front endpaper, dated Christmas, 1932. Parsons, a mountaineer herself, was a member for over a half-century, and contributed to a number of the publications. This copy has a "Withdrawn from Mountaineers Library" stamp, but has no actual library markings. x, [6], 152, [2] pages + plates. Spine title: Ramblings Through the High Sierra. Limited reissue of the published journal; with the editor's foreword and bibliographical notes, plus Le Conte's original preface to the 1875 edition. Rocq #16597; one of 1500 unnumbered copies (the entire edition), printed for the Sierra Club by Taylor & Taylor, San Francisco, December, 1930.
