Archive of Charles White Ephemera and manuscript material:

A small archive of material related to noted African-American artist Charles White, currently the subject of a major touring exhibition.

The collection includes 38 printed items, including a poster, invitations, and announcements of White's solo shows in museums and galleries, as well as 19 holograph sales records of his works (from Heritage Gallery), providing unique sales history and provenance, one recording a purchase by him, plus additional material

Charles White manuscript sale records:
A small collection of 19 gallery sales and exhibit cards from Heritage Gallery, 3 x 5 inches, entirely in holograph, mainly ink with scattered pencil.

This small collection traces the history of 19 of White's works, including Museum exhibit history, purchaser (famed author and Hollywood Ten" member Dalton Trumbo among them), selling price, terms, etc.

Also present is a card recording one of White's purchases, of a Leonard Baskin print.
